Delta Dental of Arkansas is one of the providers of Medicaid dental benefits for Arkansas. We are sharing this information from the Arkansas Department of Human Services (DHS) website to alert our Delta Dental Smiles and Delta Dental Smiles for Kids members about the need to update their contact information on file with DHS.

Update Your Contact Information and Get Ready to Renew Now!

A message from DHS:

Do you or a family member currently have health coverage through Arkansas Medicaid, ARHOME or ARKids or dental coverage through Delta Dental Smiles or Delta Dental Smiles for Kids?

If so, you may need to take steps to keep your coverage.

COVID-19 Pandemic Suspended Some Medicaid Requirements

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the federal government temporarily stopped some Medicaid requirements and conditions. This was done to help keep people with Medicaid from losing their health and dental coverage during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Return of Medicaid Eligibility Verification

However, Arkansas will soon be required to review Medicaid eligibility for people whose coverage was extended due to the COVID-19 public health emergency. This means that many Medicaid clients like you may lose their coverage if they don’t take simple steps now.

What To Do Now?

It’s easy – all you need to do right now is update your contact information.

Make sure Arkansas Medicaid has your current mailing address, phone number, and email. This way, we can contact you about your Medicaid, ARHOME, ARKids or Delta Dental Smiles/Delta Dental Smiles for Kids coverage, if we need to.

You can update your information on the phone, online, or in person.

Here’s How to Update Your Contact Information

  1. Call the Update Arkansas hotline at 1-844-872-2660 or
  2. Go online at access.arkansas.gov or
  3. Visit your local DHS county office to update their information (find your local office)
