COVID-19 Responsive Funding for Charitable Dental Clinics in Arkansas
The Delta Dental of Arkansas Foundation Board of Directors has approved up to $500,000 to be distributed in 2020 to charitable dental clinics across the state of Arkansas. We recognize that COVID-19 has greatly impacted capacity and function of our charitable dental clinics. We want to offer support to organizations who are addressing the oral health of Arkansas’ at-risk population.
Funding can be used for the following:
- Purchase & procurement of PPE according to ADH guidelines
- Office Supplies
- Operational Expenses
Funding will be determined based on hours of operation, number of clients served, and services offered. The Foundation’s funding decisions are final and shall not be subject to appeal.
A final report is required from each organization by December 31, 2020 or within 30 days of funds being fully expensed. The report should detail how grant funds were used.
All funds will be dispersed by December 31, 2020.
Applying organizations must be an Arkansas-based nonprofit or community organizations holding a current tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, governmental agencies, or educational facility that provides charitable dental treatment to the community they serve. We cannot award grants to individuals. Only one proposal per organization. Organizations or groups with multiple locations for dental clinics are limited to one application.
The Foundation encourages Arkansas-based nonprofit or community organizations holding a current tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, governmental agencies and educational facilities to apply. We cannot award grants to individuals. Only one proposal per organization per year will be considered.
Grants not funded include requests for expenses covering:
- Dental staff salaries
- Excess administrative and salary costs, travel, or incentives/gifts
- Fundraising events/sponsorships
- Private foundations and endowments
- Deficit financing and debt retirement
- Projects that will not be implemented and completed by December 31, 2020.
- Programs that discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, gender, religion, age, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation, or marital or family status
Certain grants include specific reporting requirements, schedules and systems that may vary based on the funding level. Please review the grant terms and conditions carefully before applying.
The Delta Dental of Arkansas Foundation may require each organization to submit receipts and invoices to validate expensed funds.
