An Excuse to Smile This Week
Here at Delta Dental of Arkansas, we love to smile. We watch every day as people sit in meetings and smile, eat lunch and smile and make phone calls and smile. During this year’s National Smile Week (August 5-11) we wanted uncover what makes our employees smile. We asked our team “What makes you smile?” and they said: My reason to smile everyday is when I go to bed at night and GOD blesses me to wake up in the morning and see my family safe, secure, breathing and healthy. That is what makes me smile EVERYDAY!!!! - Rosetta Covington Thanking god for life, health and strength to do the job that I am truly blessed with. - Kimberlin Young There are a lot of things that make me smile… but nothing makes me smile more than my little girl (Savannah). She is beautiful, funny, stubborn, and way too smart for a 2 year old. I love her more than I ever dreamed that I could love someone. She and my husband are the lights of my life… and I guess you could say that the fact that they both make me smile on a daily basis is a big reason to smile as well. -Cassy Brown Coming home to the unconditional love of your doggies. - Phyllis Rogers A baby laughing makes me smile! - Caryn Dover My family makes me smile. I come from a family of 12 siblings, those being 7 brothers, and 4 sisters. I am the youngest of those 12. Over the past 14 years, 4 of those brothers and one sister has passed away. There are 7 of us remaining—4 sisters and 3 brothers. We kid our brothers all the time now, telling them we out number them! We are all very, very close, and all four of us sisters (plus one brother in law) and one of our brothers and his girlfriend get together every Saturday night to play dominos. Our other two brothers come occasionally. All four sisters live within 1 mile of each other, and we are together at least 3 times a week. They are like my best friends. I love my family and they are what make me smile because we laugh a lot! - Sandra Weatherly When my husband & I dance – Diane House My grandkids make me smile! (Seen in photo: Melody & Ethan) - Linda Garrett Having my 3 year old great nieces and their brother walk through the door to spend some time playing with me! - Cheryl Wafer My family! – Heather Martin You can see all of my teeth when my 2 year old little girl dances around the house to American Idol auditions. - Ami Freeman I smiled today when I saw brand new twins go home with their new dads. And seeing my own daddy smile at me. - Carla Rutherford Of course, we don’t need National Smile Week to remind us to smile, but it is nice to stop and think about those moments that make you happy every day. So on behalf of all the employees at Delta Dental of Arkansas, we hope your week is filled with smiles! Happy Smile Week! Tell us why YOU smile in the comments section below.
