LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Delta Dental of Arkansas Foundation is now accepting applications for Community Grants of up to $30,000 to help improve the oral health of Arkansans. The Community Grant application deadline is September 30, 2017, and recipients will be notified by December 2017. More information and an online application are available at http://www.deltadentalar.com/foundation/grants.
Through the Community Grant program, the Foundation seeks to expand access to oral health care in underserved areas. Grant applications will be judged based on the innovativeness of the proposed project and its potential impact on the oral health of Arkansans. The Foundation encourages Arkansas-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, faith-based, schools-based and governmental agencies to apply. Past recipients include the Little Rock School District, Special Olympics of Arkansas and Welcome Health in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
“In 2016, The Delta Dental of Arkansas Foundation contributed a total of $3.5 million to help impact the oral health of more than 400,000 Arkansans,” said Weldon Johnson, executive director of the Delta Dental of Arkansas Foundation. “Our Foundation, along with its grant partners, is making Arkansas healthier one smile at a time.”
Additionally, grants of up to $2,500 are available through the Mini Grants and Super Smiles at School programs. Applications for these are accepted year-round online.
